Palli Zugu is established with the primary objective of combating the increasing rate of motorcycle accidents in the Northern Region of Ghana. The organization aims to achieve this goal through a multifaceted approach that includes awareness campaigns, helmet distribution, road safety education, support for accident victims, collaboration, and advocacy. By promoting helmet usage, educating the community on safe riding practices, and providing financial assistance to accident victims, Palli Zugu seeks to create a safer environment for motorcycle riders and passengers. The organization's initiatives are designed to not only prevent accidents but also to address the impact of accidents on individuals and families in the region. Through strategic partnerships, effective resource mobilization, and a strong focus on monitoring and evaluation, Palli Zugu is poised to make a significant impact in reducing motorcycle accidents and promoting road safety in the Northern Region of Ghana.

    Road traffic accidents, particularly motor bicycles and tricycles in the northern region of Ghana is a serious public health issue that needs serious attention With the aim to combat the increasing rate of road traffic accidents involving motorcycles and to promote road safety awareness in the Northern Region of Ghana, we propose the establishment of a non-profit organization named “Palli Zugu.” Translated as ‘On the Road’ in Dagbanli, the prominent local language, Palli Zugu will focus on advocating for motorcycle safety, promoting helmet usage, educating the community on road safety practices, and providing support to victims of motorcycle accidents.
